A Spiritual Garden
Come to me, all you who are weary,
and I will give you rest.
We stand before this weathered cross
site of so many Easter Sunrise services
site of so many Labyrinth walks
site of so many solitary meditations
and we look beyond to these hills and these skies
and we dream.
Come to me, all you who are weary,
and I will give you rest.
We dream of a garden open to all:
a garden open to the skies,
a garden open to the hills,
a garden open to all people
who come seeking the Spirit.
Come to me, all you who are weary,
and I will give you rest.
It’s a dream now taking shape:
some plants, some flowers,
some trees for shade,
a fountain, a bench,
a place to sit, a place to pray,
a place to talk with friends,
a place to talk with God.
Come to me, all you who are weary,
and I will give you rest.
You are welcome here in this spiritual garden.
Come to me, all you who are weary,
and I will give you rest.
