Our Pastors |
||
| The Rev. Don Dallmann | The Rev. Gay Blundell | |
| Don was a retired Lutheran pastor who has come
out of retirement to be our Pastor! (The agreement
for full communion between the Episcopal and Lutheran [ELCA] churches
allows a Lutheran pastor to serve an Episcipal church.)
Don retired and moved to Cambria in 2003. Before his retirement he was Pastor of Bethel Lutheran Church in Encino, California. He was ordained in 1963 after earning a Master of Divinity degree from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis. He earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago in 1991. Don and his wife Barbara, a nurse, were married in 1962. They have 2 adult children and 3 grandchildren. |
Gay is our Deacon. The particular ministry of a
deacon is to be a servant of those in need. Deacons also assist in
worship. Gay preaches once a month on Sunday, and she usually leads our
Wednesday afternoon services.
After many years serving the church as a lay person, Gay was ordained as a deacon in 1999, after graduating from the School for Deacons in Berkeley. She earned a Master of Theology degree from Fuller Seminary in Pasadena in 1989. Gay and her husband Bill, a retired journalist, were married in 1957. They have 2 adult children and 5 grandchildren. |
