Wednesday Evening Services

Ash Wednesday  February 9:  5:00pm service of imposition of ashes and Eucharist.

February 16, 23, March 2, 9, 16:  5:00pm service of Evening prayer, followed by soup supper and open discussion of “Questions of Faith”*.

* “Questions of Faith”:  These are questions we wrestle with.  This time we will be wrestling (as opposed to solving) with these issues in community, using the Episcopalian approach of applying scripture, reason and tradition to such questions as “Where was God in the tsunami?” and “Whatever happened to sin?  It seems to have been expunged from the church as something worth discussing.”  Questions, like the two listed, have been or will be submitted by members of the congregation.  So, have your questions written out and hand them in on Wednesdays.  The object is primarily to listen carefully and prayerfully to differing points of view, and to allow the Spirit of God room to touch us all.
