Search Committee
Report
The Search Committee met with the Reverend
Nancy Miller, the deployment officer for the diocese on Monday, March
14th. To date the committee has received a total of 36
applications – 16 of which were ‘self-nominations’ and 20 from the New
York Deployment Office. The committee has narrowed this group
down to 18 applicants, who are located within the Western
Territory. The committee will be exploring ways of narrowing the
number further. This may include teleconferencing and visits to
hear the applicants preach.
The committee has decided to set a time-line to
close applications within the next two weeks and hopes to have
between 3-5 ‘final’ candidates for the committee soon.
Two Services are Back
Starting April 10th we will resume our regular
Sunday morning schedule of two services at 8:00am and 10:30am.
In an informal poll conducted by the Vestry, 27 people said yes to two
services while 17 preferred the one service schedule. After
discussing the situation, the Vestry decided that it is in the best
interest of St. Paul’s to go back to two services at this time.
Thank you to everyone for your patience as we experience this interim
time between rectors.
Food for CAN
Please leave your food for CAN inside the church
only. We have been experiencing problems with perishable food
left on the deck.. Local animals are enjoying the feast!
The best items to bring are canned protein such as tuna, Spam, peanut
butter. Also needed is Bisquick and boxes of cereal.
Thank you to everyone who continues to bring food for the CAN
Food Ministry. It makes a difference in the lives of many
families in Cambria.
